Last month, I had some family things pop up in Wisconsin, and my brother & I decided to make the long haul out there. We passed through Detroit, Chicago & spent a few days in Madison before heading back. I posted an Instagram story announcing my travel schedule, and in popped a message from Kelly & Ethan! They are newly engaged, living in Chicago, planning a Buffalo wedding this fall. They booked an engagement session on our last morning in Chicago, at their favorite spot in Lincoln Park. They are early risers, and love the light at dawn, so we met at 6AM for their shoot! They brought their sweet pup, Phoenix, and we explored the park and waterfront. They took me to the most gorgeous spots, with earthy backgrounds and views of the city skyline, giving us a beautiful mix for their session. The sunrise never made an appearance, but we were still gifted with soft, lovely morning light. K&E are such sweethearts, and I love that this little roadtrip/family mission of mine brought in such a cool couple, fun shoot, and my final wedding of 2018! How great is that!?
