Buffalo Wedding Photography | Sammi & Brady | Marcy Casino & Delaware Park Rose Garden
When Sammi reached out to me about her unique wedding, I was thrilled! Everything she wanted to do was unconventional, and I couldn’t wait to see how it came together. She & Brady focused on planning a day that was true reflection of who they are as a couple; low-key, fun, surprising! They held their wedding on a Thursday, brought in food trucks, featured home-brewed beers, had the most colorful bridal party, Sammi wore a gorgeous handmade skirt and crop top, and they incorporated two of their favorite things : wrestling and crayons (more on that below)!
They treated the day like one huge party, and their guests had a blast. The entire wedding was very relaxed, without a lot of the usual formalities. Sammi & Brady exchanged letters before a gorgeous first-look. After which, we did bridal party portraits before a big, beautiful ceremony in the Rose Garden. After they were announced husband & wife, they danced their way down the aisle, with their bridal party following. It was amazing! Enjoy reliving their day as you scroll below!
One of Brady’s highlights of the day was finally being able to finally take a sip of the holy grail of IPA, Heady Topper. He’s never had it before, and this beer is only available in Vermont for purchase on Wednesdays and the line starts before 8am! “Our wonderful friend who traveled from Vermont brought us a cooler full of beer from The Alchemist, along with some other hard to find beers only available there. While we are avid beer lovers, this was truly a special treat for us. They even sell empty beer cans on eBay!” – Sammi
“Crayons and wrestling are things that are near and dear to our hearts. The summer we met, we were constantly having college parties on the front lawn while wearing our neighbor’s giant crayon suits. We would wear them and run a muck around University Heights… We are also both huge wrestling nerds. One of my favorite moments of the day was hearing our guests roar when wedding party was entering and when Brady and I ran around replicating the entrance of Enzo and Cass! For our honeymoon we are going to the biggest stage of them all, and heading to Orlando so we can witness its glory in person.” – Sammi
“My advice to others planning is to remember that the wedding is about you and your significant other. While friends and family always seem to input their advice and suggestions, you can kindly decline and do it your way. Everything we did was a reflection of us. I hope that this was portrayed in everything that we did, as we wanted out guests to get a sense of who we are. We are huge foodies, who love wrestling, drinking and being silly with one another. While the extra frills work for some, it didn’t work for us.”
