One month ago today, we got to hang with the fun-loving duo, Kelly & Bud! From start to finish, their day was a carefree party, full of laughter, epic dancing, and plenty of beautiful moments. We started in Lockport at Mt. Olive Church for light and lovely ceremony led by a family member, before heading over to Kelly’s grandmother’s house for photos in her big backyard. I loved that we were able to incorporate a place that was so special to the family for their wedding photographs.

Afterwards, we moved the party downtown & made a few stops (who doesn’t want a quick shot at 716 on their wedding day!?) before heading over to the Hotel Lafayette for their reception. We really wanted some shots on the roof of the hotel as well, but they are no longer allowing access, so we headed over to a tall parking garage. Once we got there, we realized the elevators were such down on the weekends. I said, sadly, “It’s ok, we’ll figure something else out…” but before I could finish, Kelly had her huge dress hiked up and her 3″ heels ready and began marching on up the 8 flights of stairs!! I think I fell in love with her right there – gotta love a bride who will do whatever it takes for gorgeous photos!

We could have stayed up there shooting for hours; the fog was so mystical and the view was amazing! But, we had a killer party to get to, so we rushed off for some beautiful speeches, wonderful cake-cutting (really should say cake-smashing!), and some wild, wild dancing.
