We kicked off 2016 with a truly epic wedding, and I am just dying to share! When Jodi & Chris asked me to be their wedding photographer, I was ecstatic. Jodi owns Anchored by Design, and is an incredible graphic designer who is amazingly creative and detail-orientated, so I knew her wedding would be nothing short of perfect! Throw in Chris, his love of motorcycles and tattoos, and all of their fun friends, we knew this day would be totally unique and a complete blast to be a part of!
When I shot this wedding, I was eight months pregnant, so I brought some fabulous reinforcements to help for the day. I was so lucky that Dawn M. Gibson and Melissa Rathke were both available for the day! They had me covered completely, and made sure the day went beautifully, all while capturing some amazing images for J&C!
Jodi & Chris really thought of everything for this day, and you’ll see that in all of the details below! Everything about their wedding, from the styling, to the details, to the venues, was vintage glam with an edge. It was such a unique and wonderful combination that really spoke about who they are as a couple.
We started our day at the Embassy Suites for getting ready shots, before heading over to Ellicott Square Building for a First Look and some bridal party photos. J, C & their crew were total troopers as we headed into windy Silo City for the rest of their photos. We could have stayed here for hours shooting; the light was just perfect and Chris & Jodi were a dream to work with. But we had other plans!
So, off to CowPok we went, for them to get their wedding day tattoos (a first in City Lights history!) One of their groomsmen worked there, and gave them each a small ampersand, to mark their wedding day. How special is that?
Then it was time to get married! We headed to Babeville for a glamorous ceremony and reception. The room was just stunning! Asbury Hall is already such a lovely venue, and all of Jodi’s details really shined. The night was full of sparkle, laughter, wild dancing & the most fabulous dessert spread!
I could go on & on, but let’s get to the photos 😉 I hope you enjoy reliving the day as much as we loved being a part of it!
