Every season, I get one or two very small bookings for intimate weddings. They are always some of my favorite events to photograph, not just because it’s less people to wrangle, but because it’s nice to see a wedding that is truly all about the bride & groom & the two of them sharing their love with the people who are the closest to them. When I met with Melissa, Kevin & their beautiful daughter, I was hoping they would book! They were warm & sweet & I knew I would have fun working with them.
Here are some highlights from their wedding, which took place in her parent’s yard at their gorgeous Tuscan-inspired home on a Friday evening in front of about 20 guests. I was booked for three hours, so had just enough time to grab some shots of their dinner set-up at Tuscarora Inn before heading out. It was simple, elegant & beautiful; they did a lovely job of putting it all together!
Melissa & her mom sharing a moment before she walked down the aisle
Gorgeous courtyard area with wine & snacks for guests before the ceremony
The bouquet of white roses & orchids was perfect with Melissa’s dress
Melissa was a BEAUTIFUL bride!!
Kevin waiting for the ceremony to start
My favorite shot of the day; their lovely baby girl during their ceremony!
One of my favorite moments at weddings is right after the first kiss, when the couple takes a second to just hold each other. It’s the purest showing of love of the whole day.
Guests throwing rose petals as they walked down the aisle made for a wonderful series of photos!
