Here’s some info to help you get the most from your shoot!
PAY YOUR DEPOSIT :
Ready to book? Once you’ve confirmed your date & time with the studio, you can reserve your session by placing your deposit and signing your session contract, at the links sent to you via email. Please contact us if you prefer to pay by cash or check. Please note, because we only offer these sessions on limited dates, and are required to place fees to reserve our hair & makeup professionals and hotel rooms. Due to these reasons, deposits are non-refundable once placed.
WHAT TO EXPECT :
City Lights Studio offers fun, relaxed boudoir sessions in private suites at the Hotel Lafayette. You’ll arrive at your chosen time at City Lights’ office on the first floor of the hotel, for your pampering session with a professional hair & makeup artist. This session will take approximately 1.5 hours, and there will be a delicious spread of treats and drinks for you to enjoy! Please arrive with dry hair, and a clean face, and let the hair & makeup artist know if you have any specific requests for styling! Please wear loose clothes; we suggest you take off your bra/socks/anything that will leave marks on your body before we begin your styling.
Afterwards, you’ll head up to the suite for your session! Your session will be led by photographer Erica Eichelkraut, occasionally with help from one female assistant. No one else will be present or have access to the room. We’ll review your outfits & plan our backdrops while you get changed. When you book with us, you can expect an easy-going, guided experience! We will assist with posing, and direct you throughout the session. You can choose your comfort level, and let us know how much or how little you’d like to be wearing in the shots, and how much or how little you’d like shown (we’ve shot everything from fully dressed to fully nude!)
Sassy in the Suites Luxury Session : We will have approximately 90 minutes for your session and will be able to shoot up to 5 outfits & backdrops in that time. Please allow 3-3.5 hours for hair, make-up and shooting from your chosen start time.
Sassy in the Suites Session : We will have approximately 1 hour for your session and will be able to shoot up to 3 outfits & backdrops in that time. Please allow 2-2.5 hours for hair, make-up and shooting from your chosen start time.
Teaser Session : We will have approximately 45 minutes for your session and will be able to shoot up to 3 outfits & backdrops in that time. Please allow 2 hours for hair, make-up and shooting from your chosen start time.
WHAT TO EXPECT :
You may opt to bring a supportive friend with you if you please, We ask that you bring no more than one person so your session can move smoothly without much distraction, and that they are respectful of our role as the photographer. Cellphone recordings and/or photographs of your session are strictly prohibited, and guests who disrupt the shoot will be asked to leave.
WHAT TO BRING :
Please bring all lingerie, bras, panties, stockings, and heels that you’d like to wear. Due to the personal nature of these items, we do not provide any clothing for the sessions. Doing this as wedding gift? Bring your veil, shoes, garter or even his bow tie 🙂 Also, feel free to throw in something that belongs to your partner (tie, football jersey, dress shirt, etc) for a fun shot just for them. We also have plenty of sheer fabrics if you wish to skip clothing but still be somewhat covered, or if you’re planning on doing a nude session, skip the clothes all together! We’ll pick outfits when you arrive & plan the session from there!
AFTER YOUR SESSION :
Payment is due at the end of your session; you can pay by cash, check or credit to City Lights Studio. Within 21 days, we’ll invite you back to the studio to view your collection of images, and select your prints, books or digital files to take home. We can also do a digital proofing session if you prefer!
