I am smiling from ear-to-ear as I blog this wedding! I have been SO honored to be a part of such incredible celebrations this year; I mean seriously, my 2016 season has been so utterly beautiful. Every single wedding this year, I’ve wanted to pinch myself, because I just can’t believe how lucky I am to find clients like this. This wedding was no exception! I just loved being a part of Ashley & David’s day; their love for each other is simply contagious. And those smiles!! They are a model couple, in every sense 🙂 They, along with their families and bridal party, were just bursting with joy, and good, good energy. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by that, and to be invited to document it!
You’ll see what I mean below 🙂
After prepping in separate rooms at The Hotel @ The Lafayette, Ashley & David headed over to the ceremony at Saint Joseph’s. Ashley & her father rode in style in a vintage Rolls Royce, and I love the shots Steve captured of them!
“My favorite part of the wedding day was looking into Ashley’s eyes, and seeing her joy.” – David
“After the wedding the most memorable thing was how truly special our ceremony was. How I am happy that we did it at the church, in front of our family and friends, and what it truly means to us to be married. It gives me chills thinking about it.” – Ashley
“Before the wedding I was most excited to see the reception space come together. (And when I got there and saw that it did, it was the best feeling in the world).” – Ashley
“My favorite part of the wedding day was dancing at the reception. Being able to get everyone up, on the dance floor, and having a great time celebrating our love. It was pretty epic.” – Ashley
Before their party truly kicked off, Ashley & David surprised their guests with a live caricature artist and with a 50th anniversary cake/dance dedicated to this couple. How fun is that?!
“After the wedding, the most memorable thing was how our diverse families bonded, as if they have known each other forever.“ – David
“The memories made on that day will last forever, including those who spent the day with you, which means by default even those you hired to be there. With that being said we LOVED working with City Lights Studio. From beginning to end, Erica went out of her way to be there, answer questions, and make us feel truly special about our special day. For brides and grooms, I would say enjoy the moment. Laugh often. Embrace your surroundings and the memories that are being made. Take a step back and observe the abundant love that is being showered on you.“ – Ashley
