Also, when I was 16, my bestie & I became obsessed with Petty (we worked in the detail shop at @deltasonicwash & it’s all the older dudes would play 🤘🎸) We’d aimlessly drive around - gas was basically free back then 🤪 - windows down, volume UP, singing our little hearts out 😍 I can feel those moments when I hear his songs now!

Have you ever been to the Allegany Nature Pilgrimage? 🌿 It’s one of my favorite annual events 🤩 Naturalists, hikers, herbalists, birders & all kinds of outdoor enthusiasts gather at the park for a whole weekend’s worth of unique programming!

Typically, I plot out adventurous activities, but this year I opted for a more restorative schedule ✌️ I spent my Saturday doing fireside yoga, forest-bathing with a group of lovely ladies, learning about homeopathy, relaxing with some watercolors, enjoying a mushroom hike & trying basic orienteering! 🥾🌲

There are dozens upon dozens of other activities to choose from at this family-friendly & affordable event. Will I see you there next year?!

I have daily practices in place, but I think quarterly art-filled-mini-roadtrips are the real secret 🤩🤩🤩 My 36 hour whirlwind May getaway to PGH did the trick! 😍 After time at some of my favorite galleries, real good eats, a candlelit art-making session, a night of jazz poetry & lots of long, aimless walks with my camera, I have so many soon-to-be projects swirling around 🎉

Year Ten of this city for me & still haven’t seen it all; anything I should add to my list for next time?!
